That was easy!

First agility seminar is now under my belt! We worked on some foundation exercises like sit, stay, healing, some one jump work, crate games and my favorite part...tugging!!! I love playing with toys and have a really strong grip on the toy! I'm not much of a fetcher just yet...but I'm working on it! I think I would be a great addition to a family looking to get into agility ;)

Field Trip!!
This weekend I got to go on a sleepover to Club Mead, a boarding kennel by Leduc just for dogs! I went with my two doggy housemates and we had so much fun. I got to run, play, chase other dogs and meet lots of new people. I was pretty sleepy when I got home, but it was worth it. I even tolerated my bath and brushing when I got home. I was told I needed to look handsome for my photo shoot. That was easy :)

Agility dog in training!

What a summer it's been! My running program has been going great and I've lost all my "baby fat". My new energy level and positive chiro report have allowed me to start some fun agility games with my foster mum! I love going over jumps and ripping through the tunnel in the backyard - you wouldn't believe how many cookies I get when we get to play...I think I might be ready for my first formal agility class...after my nap :)

Perfect Running Partner
Wow! This has been a great summer so far! I've learned a ton of new tricks and these boring things my foster mom calls "manners". I wait politely at the back door for my turn to go out, I lie on my bed to wait for my dinner and I am trying very hard not to jump all over people when they come over. I also started a new running program the past few weeks and I'm loving it! I'm told that I am an excellent running partner as I don't tug on the leash or get underfoot. The picture above is of me hanging out with the resident dogs...obviously, I'm the handsome one!

ROAD TRIP!!!
The only thing better than a car ride is a 6 hour long car ride...with walks inbetween!! I got to go with the other house hold dogs to an agility trial in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. I met lots of new people and dogs and saw sheep and horses. All the people in Saskatchewan were so nice - they all keep treats in their pockets!
I was a very good boy in the hotel room overnight. What can I say, I'm a great travel companion...and did I mention, handsome?
My foster mom has me on a diet...I keep following her around the house with food bowls, but she doesn't seem to notice. The only part about dieting that I like is all the extra walks I get to go on! I love my morning walks with the other dogs.

Favorite things...

My foster mum is finally figuring me out!! She has learned some of my favorite things to do and play with - I'm a lucky boy!
I get to eat breakfast out of toys and balls with holes in them - I smash them around the kitchen and the kibble just falls out for me; who knew breakfast could be so much fun! Dinner is hand delivered, which is how all Prince's should be fed I think. I get to show off how smart I am by doing my tricks and practicing coming when called. Eating is definetly one of my favorite things.
Every night before bed, the other dogs and I lay on our beds and get these sticks that my mum calls "chewie's". I used to hide mine because I didn't know what to do with it - that was before I knew how tasty they were!
Last weekend I got to go for a big long walk with the other dogs - I was pretty tired afterwards, but boy did I have fun! I'm pretty easy going on a leash so I think I see more walks like this in the future.
Last night the Golden convinced me to play in the mud with her, so I did. I had fun digging holes and splashing in the puddles as we raced around the backyard...I learned that I do not like having my paws washed in a bucket. How embarrassing. I think I'm done listening to the Golden.
Today I have a chiropractor appointment with my friend, Dr. Jennifer Webster that I met last weekend. I'm looking forward to my outing - I love car rides!!

Introducing Hunter!!
Hi - I'm Hunter! I am a 1.5 year old border collie looking for a lucky family to adopt me!
I was hit by a car as a young puppy so don't know if agility or flyball would ever be my thing...but I would love to learn some obedience, or rally-o as my foster mum keeps saying how smart I am! I know all sorts of tricks and I think there is nothing better than a long walk or a car ride!!
I enjoy playing with the resident Golden Retriever and Border Collie. They are teaching me things like fetch and how to share and wait my turn before going outside.
I'm told I'm a handsome fellow so if you think you can handle my devilish good looks and happy-go-lucky personality...give my foster mum a call! I would love to meet you...
